Sierra outdoor gear and apparel store will open Aug. 12 in the Dickson City Crossings strip mall on Commerce Boulevard, according to the chain's website. Sierra will occupy the spot between Burlington and Gabe's, where the facade has a large "Sierra" sign and a banner saying "Coming Soon." Formerly called Sierra Trading Post, Sierra is part of The TJX Companies Inc. group that includes T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and HomeSense. T.J. Maxx also is in the same strip mall on Commerce Boulevard.
